What?
To start using LA Fish you don't have to install anything — the web panel opens right in your browser. If you want to do bulk work faster on your computer, install the desktop app; if you want to capture a receipt on the spot, install the mobile app. All three share the same account.
| Where | Installation | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 🌐 Web panel | None — opens in your browser | Access from anywhere, reviewing the archive, membership and billing |
| 🖥️ Desktop | Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon), Linux | Bulk reading, reports, exporting to accounting software |
| 📱 Mobile | App Store / Google Play | Capturing a receipt the instant you have it |
How?
🌐 Web Panel — No Installation
- Go to the panel Open lafish.com.tr/app.
- Log in with your account If you don't have one, you can create it from the same screen — see Creating an Account and Choosing a Plan.
- That's it The panel opens on your phone too; on narrow screens the menu switches to a hamburger button.
Why no installation? Your receipts live in the cloud archive; the browser just displays them. When you switch to a new computer, there's nothing to move.
🖥️ Desktop App
- Download Download the file for your operating system from the Downloads page: .exe for Windows, .dmg for macOS, .AppImage for Linux.
- Install On Windows, follow the installation wizard. On macOS, open the .dmg and drag the app into the Applications folder. On Linux, give the .AppImage file permission to run and double-click it.
- Open and log in On first launch you log in with your LA Fish account; your receipts download from the cloud archive.
- Watch the walkthrough The app walks you through it step by step on first launch. You can reopen the tour anytime from the ❓ Guide button in the top right and jump straight to any topic.
If you get stuck: if macOS says "developer cannot be verified," right-click the app and choose Open. If the app opens but says "cannot reach the server," check your internet connection and, if it applies, your company firewall — Troubleshooting.
📱 Mobile App
- Install from the store Just search for LA Fish in your phone's app store.
- Log in or create an account If you create an account, a 6-digit verification code is sent to your email; you can't get into the app without entering it — see Creating an Account.
- Grant camera permission Camera permission is required to capture receipts. You can also grant it later from your phone's settings.
- Choose your plan The plan selection screen opens on first login; if you're eligible for the free trial, it's offered here too. If you don't want a paid plan for now, tap Continue Free: your account opens on the Free tier, you can start adding receipts right away, and you can upgrade whenever you like.
Why camera permission? The mobile app captures receipts without a shutter button: the moment you frame the paper, it takes the shot itself. For that, it needs to keep watching through the camera. The image stays on your phone until it's processed.
Why Three Separate Apps?
Because a receipt's journey passes through three different places. While the receipt is in your hand, your phone is the most practical tool. At the end of the month, when you want to organize and export hundreds of receipts, you need a keyboard and a big screen — that's the desktop. When you're on someone else's computer, or just want a quick look, you need to be able to get in without installing anything — that's the web panel.
Because all three share the same account and the same cloud archive, the receipt you capture on your phone is there when you open your computer. Details: Cloud Archive and Multiple Devices.
If you get stuck: if you're wondering which feature is in which app, the What's Where page has the full list.
