What?
There are eight ways to add a receipt. On your phone, the camera captures it by itself; you can also upload a ready photo, a PDF or a card statement. On desktop, you bulk-import from a scanner, pick photos from a folder, or fill out the form by hand. Which path you choose depends on where the receipt is.
Note: 🌐 no new receipts are added in the web panel. The panel is for viewing existing receipts, correcting them, and attaching an image to a record — details below.
| Path | Where | When to Use It | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Receipt (automatic capture) | 📱 Mobile | While the receipt is in your hand. No shutter to press — it shoots itself once framed. | All plans |
| Manual | 📱 Mobile | When automatic capture isn't catching it (faded print, wrinkled paper, hard light), you take the shot. | All plans |
| Multi | 📱 Mobile | For capturing several receipts laid out on a table in a single photo. | Premium and Premium Office |
| QR Code | 📱 Mobile | For an e-Arşiv / e-Fatura document that carries a QR code — fields are read exactly, not guessed. | All plans |
| Upload From Gallery or PDF | 📱 Mobile | For a receipt photo, PDF invoice or card statement already on your phone — AI reads it. | All plans |
| ⬇️ Import from Device | 🖥️ Desktop | For pulling in new receipts from your scanner in bulk, with one click. | All plans |
| 📷 Add from Image | 🖥️ Desktop | For receipt photos already on your computer — one file or hundreds. | All plans |
| ✏️ Add Manually | 🖥️ Desktop | When you have no image: open a blank form and type the fields yourself. | All plans |
Reading is on every plan too. AI reading comes with a monthly allowance on every plan: 10 documents on Free, 100 on Standard, 1,000 on Premium, and 5,000 on Premium Office. On desktop, local reading (📷 Local OCR) is free on all plans, and you carry on with it once the allowance runs out. On mobile, once the allowance runs out, receipts wait in the queue until it renews or you buy an add-on pack.
How?
📱 Mobile — Four Modes, One Strip
Switch to Camera from the bottom tabs. The strip at the bottom of the screen holds the modes side by side: Receipt, Manual, Multi, QR Code. A mode not included in your plan never shows up in the strip — it's not missing, it's just locked.
Receipt — shutter-less automatic capture (default)
- Choose the mode The app already opens in Receipt mode.
- Frame the receipt The screen reads "Frame the receipt — it's added automatically once the text is read". The status bar at the top updates live: "Looking for a receipt…", then, once one is seen, "Receipt found — hold steady".
- Hold steady and wait Don't press any shutter. The instant the text is read on the device and recognized as a receipt, the frame is captured automatically and drops into the queue.
- Move to the next one The Queued: counter at the top increases. Remove the receipt, put down the next one — you can keep capturing one after another.
- Approve it in Review The queue isn't sent on its own. Switch to the Review tab and tap Upload and Read. Details: Reading and Approval.
Manual — you take the shot
- Switch to Manual in the strip A round shutter button appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Frame it and press Make sure all four edges of the receipt are inside the frame.
- It's added to the queue Same place: Review → Upload and Read.
If automatic capture just won't see the receipt, this is the fix: in Manual mode the decision is yours, and it doesn't wait for the app to recognize the text first.
Multi — several receipts in one photo
- Switch to Multi in the strip This mode only appears on the Premium and Premium Office plans.
- Lay the receipts out on the table The on-screen warning is clear: "Don't OVERLAP the receipts — space them out, flatten them, and show them clearly in one frame." Avoid shadows and glare.
- Give cloud archive consent You're asked on first use; it's required because the receipts read here are saved to the archive — see Cloud Archive and Multiple Devices.
- Press the shutter A single frame is sent, and every receipt found inside it becomes a separate record. This shot costs 5 AI credits; the app warns you if you don't have enough left.
QR Code — e-Arşiv / e-Fatura documents
- Switch to QR Code in the strip This mode appears on all plans.
- Bring the QR code into frame The screen reads "Bring the QR code into frame — it's read automatically". There's no button to press.
- Review the fields it returns The merchant, date, and total are summarized in a box.
- Save Tapping Save writes the receipt straight to the archive. If the same document was already entered, no new row opens — you'll see "This receipt is already in the archive ✓" instead.
If you get stuck: you scanned the QR code and it said "This QR code doesn't carry receipt data" — that's not an error. Some QR codes only contain a web link; the document opens on a website, and the total/date/tax ID aren't inside the code itself. Tap the Switch to Receipt Mode button in the warning box and scan that receipt normally instead.
Upload From Gallery or PDF — files already on your phone
- Tap the button Tap Upload From Gallery or PDF at the bottom of the Camera screen.
- Pick the source Image From Gallery, PDF/Image From Files or Card Statement. You can pick a receipt, an invoice or a card statement.
- AI reads it A PDF uses 5 AI credits and each image uses 1. If an image you pick from the gallery is a card statement, the app recognizes it on its own and shows the lines on the statement screen before saving.
💳 Add From Card Statement
Upload the PDF statement your bank sent or screenshots of the card transaction list in your banking app, and add the expenses in one go. It's on every plan; AI credits are used under the same rule as receipt reading: 5 for a PDF, 1 for each screenshot.
- Pick the statement On Camera, tap Upload From Gallery or PDF → Card Statement, or Add From Statement in the Card Summary; then Pick PDF Statement or Pick Screenshots.
- Wait for it to be read AI reads the transaction lines. You're notified when it's done; the statement also shows in the Review tab.
- Check it on one screen The lines arrive sorted into groups: Subscriptions (added to your subscriptions; if one already exists, that month's bill is recorded), Home Bills (electricity, water, natural gas, internet, TV — added to your subscriptions and linked to the home you choose), Vehicle Expenses (fuel, motorway/HGS tolls, parking, maintenance, car wash, insurance — added to the history of the vehicle you choose) and Other Purchases. Untick any line you don't want.
- Save Tap Save. Each transaction becomes an expense linked to the card (a card receipt); all of them are linked to the same statement and show in the Card Summary. An installment purchase is recorded with its amount and installment plan.
If the receipt for an expense is already in the app, no new record is created; the existing receipt is linked to the statement, so the same expense isn't counted twice. Card payments, cash advances, deferrals and points activity aren't purchases and are not recorded; card fees, interest, refunds and installments carried over from previous months are optional. If the card isn't saved yet, the bank, the card's last 4 digits and the statement closing/payment due days are read from the statement and the card is added automatically.
The statement file is not stored. The lines that are read stay as an encrypted draft until you save them; once you save, the draft is deleted. The full card number is never stored; only the last 4 digits are taken. Reading statements requires you to accept the current version of the AI consent text; the app asks for it on your first statement — details in the Explicit Consent Text.
🖥️ Desktop — Three Buttons
All three buttons sit side by side in the Add Receipt group on the toolbar.
⬇️ Import from Device
- Click ⬇️ Import from Device Brings in new receipts from your scanner in one click.
- Choose how it should be read It asks "How should it be read?": 🤖 AI (cloud queue, costs a credit from your monthly AI allowance) or 📷 Local OCR (on-device, free, instant). AI comes with a monthly allowance on every plan: 10 documents on Free, 100 on Standard, 1,000 on Premium, and 5,000 on Premium Office.
- Read the result A summary box opens when the job finishes: how many receipts were saved, how many were skipped because they were already on file, and whether any were mistaken for a card slip or e-document.
If you click Cancel, the scans aren't lost; they wait in the queue and are processed the next time you click ⬇️ Import from Device.
📷 Add from Image
- Click 📷 Add from Image The "Select Receipt Images (one or many)" window opens.
- Select the files You can pick a single file, or dozens with Ctrl/Cmd. Common photo formats are accepted (PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, and similar).
- Choose how it should be read You'll get the same 🤖 AI / 📷 Local OCR question, along with how many images you selected.
- See the result A single image opens a form with the fields already filled in; multiple images are read one after another, ending in a bulk summary.
✏️ Add Manually
- Click ✏️ Add Manually A blank form opens.
- Fill in the fields Type in fields like merchant, date, and total by hand.
- Save The receipt drops into the list; if you want to correct it later, see List, Detail, and Correction.
🌐 Web Panel — No New Receipts Added Here
There's no way to create a receipt in the panel; that job was deliberately left to your phone and desktop. Here's what the panel can do with receipts:
- Open the My Receipts panel My Receipts from the left menu.
- Click a receipt The detail window opens; you can correct the fields.
- Add or change its image The same window has an Add Image button (if the record has none) or a Change Image button. This attaches an image to an existing record — it does not open a new receipt.
If you want to add a new receipt, use Camera on your phone or the Add Receipt buttons on desktop. Anything you add there already lands in the panel.
Why This Way?
Why no shutter? The tiring part of capturing receipts isn't one receipt, it's thirty. Each one means three moves: frame, press, check. With automatic capture, the phone won't shoot until it sees the text — meaning it never produces a frame that's captured but blank. All you do is swap out the receipt.
Why isn't the queue sent automatically? Because uploading spends AI credits and quota, depending on your plan. So a stray piece of paper or a bad frame doesn't quietly burn a credit, the queue waits in Review — you're the one who approves it. If you'd rather skip this step, flip the Auto-Send switch there; captured receipts will then go out without waiting for approval.
Why do Multi and QR Code ask for cloud archive consent? Both modes write their result straight to the archive; if the archive is off, there's nowhere to write to. Consent is your explicit permission for your receipts to be stored in the cloud, and it can be withdrawn anytime — see Settings and KVKK (Turkey's data protection law).
Why does desktop ask "How should it be read?" Local OCR is free and instant, but it works well only on flat, clear receipts. AI steps in for difficult frames and faded print, and costs you a credit in return. Leaving the decision to you makes it visible exactly what's being spent across a stack of 200 receipts.
If you get stuck: if you don't see Multi in the strip, the app isn't broken — that mode is only available in Premium and Premium Office. Which mode belongs to which plan is in the table above; the plans themselves are on the Pricing page.
If you get stuck: if you added the same receipt twice, don't worry — both desktop and the archive catch the duplicate and refuse to open a second row, saying "already on file". If a problem still remains after that, see Troubleshooting.
