What?

Plan upgrades, downgrades, cancellation, invoices, and add-on AI document packs are all gathered in one place. There's one critical rule: you manage your subscription from wherever you bought it. If you bought it on the web, manage it from the panel; if you bought it from your phone's store, manage it from the store.

🌐 Web Panel 📱 Mobile All plans ~3 minutes

The table below tells you at a glance where each task is done. Rows are split by the channel that opened the subscription — not by the device you're using. Someone who subscribed on the web manages their subscription from the web panel even while sitting on an iPhone.

What you want to do If you subscribed on the web (by card) If you subscribed via App Store / Google Play
Moving to a higher plan Panel → Membership → Upgrade · effective immediately The store's subscription settings
Moving to a lower plan Panel → Membership → Switch to This Plan at Period End LA Fish app → ⭐ card; moving to a lower plan (e.g. Premium → Standard) takes effect at period end
Monthly ↔ yearly Chosen while upgrading; on the same plan it waits for period end LA Fish app → ⭐ card → plan list (switch happens immediately)
Canceling Panel → Membership → Cancel Membership The store's subscription settings
Invoices / payment history Panel → Payment → Payment History The receipt comes from the store; a line appears in the panel
Add-on AI document pack Panel → Payment → Buy Add-On AI Document Pack Mobile → Account → Add-on Package

From lowest to highest, the plans are Free, Standard, Premium, and Premium Office (Premium Office is available in Turkey only). The Free tier isn't something you buy: if you have no paid subscription, that's where your account already is. Current plan prices and what's included in each plan are on the Pricing page; this page only explains how the action is performed.

How?

When a plan change takes effect: channel and direction matrixFive rows show the direction of the change (Monthly to Yearly, Yearly to Monthly, moving to a higher plan, moving to a lower plan, and dropping from a paid plan to the Free tier), three columns show the channel that opened the subscription (Google Play, App Store, Web panel). From lowest to highest, the plans are Free, Standard, Premium, and Premium Office. On Google Play, a period change within the same plan takes effect immediately: switching from monthly to yearly charges the full price right then and adds the remaining time on top of the new end date; switching from yearly to monthly doesn't change the end date, and the new price applies at the next renewal. On Google Play, moving to a higher plan (for example Standard to Premium, or Premium to Premium Office) also happens immediately and the remaining time is recalculated for the new plan; moving to a lower plan (for example Premium to Standard, or Premium Office to Premium) takes effect at period end. On the App Store, a period change is made from the plan list in the app and happens immediately; moving to a lower plan is at period end; the store determines the timing of an upgrade, and the effective date is written under the plan card in the app. In the web panel, an upgrade takes effect immediately and the new period starts right then; downgrading doesn't charge anything now and your rights last until period end; changing periods on the same plan requires waiting for the current period to end: you cancel the renewal and subscribe again with the new period, and no refund is given for the remaining time. On all three channels, a canceled subscription drops to the Free tier at period end, and a canceled trial does so when the trial ends: the account isn't locked and no data is deleted; the receipt archive, Smart Home Memory, Spending Summary, and 10 AI reads a month stay available, while paid features such as exports, multi-receipt, and accounting turn off. When does a plan change take effect?Rows show the change, columns the channel that opened the subscription. 🌐 Web Panel — Plan, Cancellation, Invoices

Everything about your membership is here. The panel opens at lafish.com.tr/app; the left menu has two separate tabs: Membership handles the plan, Payment handles the money.

  1. Open the Membership tab Membership from the left menu. The Manage Plan button on the overview screen also takes you to the same place. In the Current Plan and Alternatives card, plans sit side by side; your own plan has a Current Plan badge on it.
  2. Move to a higher plan Upgrade under the target plan. You enter your card details and go through the 3D Secure step; the upgrade takes effect immediately and the new billing period starts right then.
  3. Move to a lower plan Switch to This Plan at Period End under the target plan. Nothing is charged now: your current plan and rights continue exactly as they are until period end, the downgrade takes effect on that date, and the renewal is charged at the lower rate. If you change your mind, press Scheduled · Undo, which appears on the same card.
  4. Cancel Cancel Membership at the bottom of the same card. Your rights continue exactly as they are until the end of the current period; on that date your account drops to the Free tier and isn't locked. Your receipt archive, Smart Home Memory, Spending Summary, and 10 AI reads a month stay available; paid features such as exports, extra AI allowance, multi-receipt, and accounting turn off. Your data isn't deleted. If you change your mind, Undo Cancellation appears.
  5. Keep your card current Payment → Payment Methods. Add Card for a new card; if you have multiple cards, the renewal is charged to the one marked Default — press Make Default to change it.
  6. Fill in your invoice profile Payment → Invoice Profile. You choose Individual or Corporate as the Invoice Type; for corporate, the Tax ID Number and Tax Office fields open up. The invoice is issued based on this information, so fill it in before your first payment.
  7. View history Payment → Payment History. The table has Invoice No, Description, Amount, Status, Type, and Date columns; subscription, upgrade, renewal, and package purchases are listed as separate rows.

The window that opens when you subscribe has a Distance Sales Agreement and Pre-Information Form checkbox; the payment step won't complete without checking it. The full texts open from the panel together with the Terms of Use.

If you get stuck: If pressing Upgrade shows "You already have an active subscription via App Store / Google Play," this isn't an error, it's double-billing protection. Your subscription lives in the store; if a second subscription were opened on the web, the store would keep renewing on its side too, so money would be charged from both places at once. Either manage it from the store, or cancel the store subscription first.

📱 Mobile — Store Subscription, Add-On Pack

Purchases in the mobile app are made through the App Store or Google Play; canceling and downgrading a plan, however, can't be done from inside the app — the stores don't allow it. The app takes you to the right place.

  1. Open the Account screen Account from the bottom menu. The card at the top shows your Email, Plan, and remaining allowance.
  2. Check the manage button The button that appears on the same card tells you which channel opened the subscription: ⚙ Manage Subscription on App Store, ⚙ Manage Subscription on Google Play, or ⚙ Manage Subscription in My Web Account. Whichever one shows is where cancellation is done.
  3. Cancel The button takes you to the store's subscription list. On cancellation, your rights last until period end; then your account drops to the Free tier without being locked.
  4. Plan / period change You don't need to go to the store for this: tap the ⭐ card in the app, choose the new plan from the plan list. Under each plan it says when that switch takes effect. On Google Play, a period change (monthly ↔ yearly) and an upgrade take effect immediately; moving to a lower plan (e.g. Premium Office to Premium, Premium to Standard) takes effect at period end.
  5. Upgrade To move to a paid plan, ⭐ Upgrade to Premium; if you're on the trial, the same spot says ⭐ Get Membership.
  6. Get an add-on pack The Add-on Package card shows on an active Standard, Premium, or Premium Office membership; it doesn't show during the trial or on the Free tier.
  7. If your allowance doesn't show First ↻ Refresh Entitlements, then ⤓ Restore Purchases. These two solve it when you switch to a new phone or delete and reinstall the app.

Why can't I cancel from inside the app? For a store subscription, Apple or Google collects the money; LA Fish only sees the verified result. Because the authority to start a cancellation belongs to whoever collects the payment, the button shows up there. That's also why the panel doesn't allow a plan change either for a store subscription — so the two sides don't create a conflicting state.

🖥️ Desktop — No Payments Happen Here

The desktop app doesn't process any payments: it doesn't start a subscription, store a card, or cancel anything. Whenever you need something related to membership, it sends you to the web panel.

  1. Tap a locked feature When you press a tab or button that isn't included in your plan, the window that opens has Go to Panel; the panel opens in your browser.
  2. If no plan has been chosen A Plan Selection Required window appears, but the program isn't locked: Continue Free starts you on the Free tier right away. For a paid plan or the trial, choose with Go to Panel, and when you come back, refresh your allowance with Check.
  3. Trial settings are also in the panel Since automatically switching to Premium when the trial ends requires card information, that setting is also done in the web panel; if you cancel the trial, your account continues on the Free tier when the trial ends — see Account setup and plan selection.

💳 Add-On AI Document Packs

When your monthly allowance runs out, you can buy an add-on pack. Each pack is a single item that grants only AI document credits: these credits are used for AI reading and, in Premium Office, for accounting submissions too, and they sit in your wallet with no time limit.

  1. Check eligibility An add-on pack can be bought on an active Standard, Premium, or Premium Office membership. Packs aren't sold during the trial or on the Free tier (including an account whose membership has ended).
  2. Buy from the web Panel → Payment → Buy Add-On AI Document Pack card, Buy under the package.
  3. Buy from mobile Account → Add-on Package card, the price button next to the package. The store handles the charge.
  4. Know the spending order Both AI reading and (in Premium Office) accounting submissions are deducted from your monthly allowance first; the document credits in your wallet are only touched once the monthly allowance runs out. So it's normal for your wallet balance to stay unchanged right after buying a package.

Package quantities and prices may change; the current list is on the Pricing page and in the panel.

The storage subscription for receipt images is a separate axis from this and works differently (it grows your quota, it's monthly, and old images can be deleted when it's canceled). We cover that on the Storage quota page.

🔁 Monthly/Yearly Period Switch

The billing period is chosen the moment you start the subscription and stays fixed throughout the period.

  1. Choose while subscribing Monthly or Yearly from the Billing Period list in the subscription window. The Monthly / Yearly buttons above the plan cards also show prices for that period.
  2. Change it while upgrading If you're moving to a higher plan with Upgrade, you can also choose the period at that moment — the new period starts in the form you chose.
  3. Staying on the same plan but changing the period For a store subscription, it's a single tap: choose the new period from the ⭐ card in the app. On Google Play the switch happens immediately; going from yearly to monthly, your end date doesn't change and the monthly price applies at the next renewal; going from monthly to yearly, the full price is charged right then and your remaining time is added on top of the new end date. For a web subscription, you wait for the current period to end: you cancel the renewal and, once the period ends, subscribe again with whichever period you want; no refund is given for the remaining time if the switch is made before the period runs out.

If you get stuck: For a web subscription, if you want to switch from yearly to monthly and cancel hastily, your account drops to the Free tier at period end and paid features turn off in that gap (your data stays where it is). Instead of canceling close to period end, write the period-end date on your calendar: it's shown in the panel under the Membership card as Current period ends. For a store subscription you don't need to cancel at all — you make the period change directly from the app, and no gap is created.

🧾 Invoices, Renewal

Payment history is collected in the panel for both channels, but who issues the document differs.

Purchase channel Shown in panel? Where the document comes from
Web panel (by card) Yes — the row shows an Invoice No An e-Arşiv invoice is issued based on the information in your invoice profile
App Store / Google Play Yes — but Invoice No stays empty The store is the seller; the receipt and purchase history come from your store account

For subscriptions bought by card, renewal is automatic: as period end approaches, a renewal notice arrives in your email; when the period ends, the default card is charged and the period is extended. If the charge fails, it's retried for a while; if it still can't be collected within that time, the membership ends and the account drops to the Free tier. That's why updating it from Payment Methods before the card's expiration date is the cheapest fix.

ℹ️ Important: This information is for guidance only; it does not replace professional accounting advice. Regulations and amounts change, and the outcome varies by the taxpayer's specific situation. Consult your SMMM/YMM (certified accountant) for definitive action. LA Fish does not decide — it only raises flags.

Why Is It Like This?

For web subscriptions, why does an upgrade happen immediately but a downgrade at period end? Because the two work in opposite directions. When you upgrade, you pay and start using it right away — waiting benefits no one. When you downgrade, you're already in the middle of a period you've already paid for; the rights for that period are yours. Cutting it short in the middle would mean taking that back. Waiting for period end doesn't waste the money you paid, and it reduces the question of "what happens when" to a single date.

For store subscriptions, the store determines the timing. On Google Play, a period change and an upgrade take effect immediately — the time you paid for still isn't wasted: either your end date is preserved or your remaining time is recalculated for the new plan. Moving to a lower plan (e.g. Premium to Standard), however, takes effect at period end. That's why the app separately states under each plan when that switch will take effect.

Why doesn't it close immediately when you cancel? Cancellation means "don't renew again," not "end the subscription." Everything stays open until period end; on that date your account drops to the Free tier. The account isn't locked and your records aren't deleted — only paid features turn off. If you pressed it by mistake, Undo Cancellation is still there.

Why are the store and the web kept so strictly separate? The same account subscribing through both channels at once means money is charged from two separate places — and the user only sees it on their statement. That's why the server blocks opening a new web subscription while a store subscription is active, and blocks a plan change from the panel while on a store subscription. The restriction seems annoying, but it makes double billing impossible from the start.

Why doesn't my card information show in the panel? The card number is never stored at LA Fish at all. The payment provider's secure token is kept; only the card's brand and last four digits show in the panel. That's why you can't "edit" a card — you add a new one and make it the default.

If you get stuck: If your allowance hasn't opened up after payment, first try ⤓ Restore Purchases and ↻ Refresh Entitlements on mobile, and refresh the page in the web panel. If it doesn't resolve within a minute, note the payment date and Invoice No and write to us — if the record is on the server, it's fixed manually. For general error messages, see Troubleshooting.
